New Year, new goals

Pray God send us a good howling crop
Every twig, apples big
Every bough, apples enow.
Hats full, caps full, full quarter sacks full
Holla boys holla

– Sussex “apple howling” verse

Last weekend, my other half and I went to our first ever wassail at a local community garden orchard. We spent an afternoon hanging toast on apple trees to lure in good spirits and making a lot of noise to ward off evil spirits. Hopefully our efforts will result in a good crop of apples this autumn.

This year, I have decided to reduce my day job hours to four days a week in order to grow my business, we are stardust. I’ve been trying to ward of “evil” thoughts, which leave me feeling panicked and daunted, and to lure in “good” thoughts which help me to feel excited and motivated. I’ve joined the Etsy Resolution 2016 webinar series and have started to work on rebranding my shop. I’ve even got myself a proper URL that I’ll be upgrading to soon: http://www.wearestardust.uk.

I have also set myself a goal (with lots of objectives underneath it!):

My goal for 2016 is to earn enough from my business so that I earn back 1/3 of the income I have lost in going down to four days a week with my day job.

It’s an ambitious goal and in writing it down and sending it to you – my customers – I hope I will stick to making it happen. With your support in keeping the good spirits and thoughts coming in and shutting out the evil ones I hope I’ll also have a successful crop by the end of 2016.

Have you set yourself any goals? How do you plan to stick to them?

  1. That sounds like fun, Agnes!

We’ll raise a toast to you and we are stardust then make a lot of noise.

Enjoy the weekend, Love, J xxx Sent from my iPad
